Tell us a bit about what you appreciate about them as an RCB: During the Slater fire the Franklin family had to quickly evacuate as they saw flames nearing their home. They loaded up and evacuated, within hours of evacuating they had their food cart materials set up and in action feeding local community members who were displaced from the fire. This continued for well over two weeks, they moved camp from Cave Junction to Grants Pass behind the movie theater and set up a system better than the Red Cross, all while not knowing if they would have a home to return to themselves. They meet with community partners and got shower/laundry vouchers, delivered hundreds of meals to the displaced in their own vehicles, while providing safe space FOR ALL at their set up. They found their calling and have now started Folk Outreach to better help build support within the Illinois Valley.
