Tell us a bit about what you appreciate about them as an RCB: Arvinder is involved with several organizations that aim to make Lake County a safer, more equitable community. He is secretary of the Lake County Crisis Center and heavily involved with Lake County Food Share. As part of the latter organization, Arvinder is helping the organization coordinate with Lake Health District (his employer), which owns the building where Food Share operates, to bring the building up to code and install a walk-in cooler. This will allow Food Share to receive more funding from Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank and offer fresh fruits and vegetables to people in need. Arvinder coordinates the Outback Strong Summer Lunch Program, which serves free lunches to all youth through age 18 in Lakeview and, for the first time ever this summer, Paisley. Arvinder represents the Lake County Local Community Advisory Council, which develops and oversees projects aimed at improving Medicaid members’ health, at the regional level. He also has coordinated and overseen COVID-19 screening efforts at Lake Health District.
