Recognized by: Kristi Albertson of Lake County

Tell us a bit about what you appreciate about them as an RCB: Francie is a tireless advocate for Lake County. Her knowledge of prevention science is bottomless, as is her desire to inspire and create positive change to help people live healthier, happier, more resilient lives. This kind of change takes time, and very often it’s frustrating work. As the clerk for the local coalition, Lake County UCAN (United Community Action Network), Francie leads a multisector group of community builders in efforts to effect positive change throughout the county. She is helping coalition members see beyond their day-to-day duties, and beyond the scope of their individual organizations, to envision the possibilities of what our community could look like if we created and pursued a common vision. Francie never stops encouraging the people in her circle of influence to keep moving forward, to keep striving for change. She truly believes change is possible, and she makes the rest of us believe it, too.
