Tell us a bit about what you appreciate about them as an RCB: Throughout the pandemic, but even before and after, the lack of diverse opportunities for youth in our county to play and compete has created a disadvantage for families compared to large, urban, centers. Jon and his family created the Siskiyou County NFL Play 60 Flag Football program to allow kids of all ages more access to sports. Jon coaches at COS, runs the flag football program, took on the basketball officiating coordinator/scheduler job, and runs various camps throughout the year. He and his wife Brooke are an example of what one family can accomplish in a small community when they are dedicated to a vision that rural kids can have all of the same competitive advantages as their urban peers.
