Tell us a bit about what you appreciate about them as an RCB: Josh works so we can rest peacefully (or perhaps ignorantly). He asks big questions like, “how can Oregonians best prepare for big disasters.” Ones that may occur 10 or 20 years from now, or tomorrow! He reminds us that the conditions of communities before a crisis are predictive of a community’s ability to recover from those crises. And he supports communities to better improve conditions while they can (which is now). A straight talker, engaged at many tables, and one of those rare planners who is more interested in action than anything else, I so appreciate that Josh is part of Oregon’s disaster resiliency capacity. Particularly now, in light of the 2020 wildfires, Josh has a keen eye on rural places. Plus he’s just a great guy to chat with. Sleep well tonight friends, and much thanks to Josh for that!
