Tell us a bit about what you appreciate about them as an RCB: When a 4 month kitten found itself stranded near the top of a tall oak tree, the neighborhood came together and called everyone they could think of for help. Most public service organizations and utility companies were unable to help due to insurance reasons and not many people were up for the 60ft plus climb up the tree. However, Lawson Brooks and his colleague were able to get permission from the company they work for (Trees, LLC) to conduct the kitty rescue. The workers used their boon truck to rescue the kitten much to the relief of a grateful neighborhood. Folks gathered to watch and raided their refrigerators to supply the heroes with cold sodas and homemade cookies. It goes to show that even the smallest acts can bring a community together and what a great example of caring neighbors!
